Yeah!!.the torch was an interesting idea but now its getting out of hand!! my own team mates blinding me!! really irritating!!

The server patch was released alongside the BF3 patch, AFAIK. Servers should all be on update R9 by now. When the last patch was released there were also so many disconnects and it only came right a few hours later. This afternoon and this evening it should be a lot better (touches wood).

btw, our RFH okes have a game against you BFC dudes tonight - should be fun!

I know you caught the guy in close combat, but something I've noticed is that certain guns REALLY suffer from damage drop off at range. Like I will be using the UMP or even the SCAR at long-ish range, I will hit the guy with 6-10 rounds and he'll kill me. When I see his health he is still on 25-40% health.

Please note torches are not acceptable :D but you guys are a clan so i am sure you don't need to blind people to kill them hehe.

Ya looking forward to it, i sure hope the lag is sorted :D.
 
well just came off from a few rounds and didn't have any lag.

was the WAGE Illustrious server.

yep noticed, torch still not fixed/sorted.

btw Killa, who running things these days? Bull still around?

Seriously peeved with the nerf to stingers etc. You can literally pump rockets into a heli, plane and they just keep going, what bull. A heuy last night took 4 missiles and no they were'nt spoofed, I saw them hit and the rotors start trailing a bit of balck smoke.

And it still didn't die.

Kosmick m8, they where repairing it in flight, I often do this. although you don't get points for doing it. You could do it in BC2 as well
 
yeah, and tanking a jet on it's belly as it literally passes right on top of you, disables it yet the guy flies away and no points for anything except the disable.

I must say though, although maybe it was just lucky shots, the 2 times I RPG/SMAW'd guys in buggy/hummer, it took them out. not the buggy, but the driver.

thing I don't know what it is and maybe some1 here can shed light on it (no not your damn torch dammit), I have seen guys stinger/igla choppers/jets where as it is about to hit the target, puff of smoke appears.
no it's not the flares, well I am assuming because when flares appear they don't do that. I have also done it a few times and it seemed as if no hit was registered when that happens.

any1 know what it is/could be?

I have yet to try out the AA so stay tuned for my rant/comment on that topic.

Nah Worf, not just that unless there was a bunch of them repairing. It wasn't just me launching rockets at the thing. The stingers were fine before, often one hit would cause damage but not destroy and the spoofing is the same with flares etc but for someone to tell me that a stinger missile striking an aircraft and doesn't seem to do any damage , that's bull.

By the end of the night, noone was even bothering trying to take the planes/helis out with stingers cause it just wasn't worth the points or effort anymore.

Hey guys just a quick question.

I want to install the game on another pc but don't want to have to download all the patches again, does anybody know where those files are situated so that I can just copy them over?

There is a folder in the game directory called "update" but it's only 350mb, don't know if that's the one.

yeah I don't think that patch folder is very helpful.

I would say, if you have one updated version on one pc, just make a copy of that folder and put it on pc 2.

that is all I can advise, though from what people say it could cause a problem if it doesn't work 1st time.
problem being you will need to do that repair thing and that may cause it to want to download patches again.

though would try it as that can't do any harm.

Just install origin and copy the game directory to the orgin games folder on the other PC, it will pick it up in origin and "install" it. Although you may get errors when you push the "play" button in origin it will still work. I am doing that now.
 
They are working on the fix apparently.

My girlfriend is with me for 4 days... so I'm fine - she won't let me play! but you guys... I feel sorry for you! :D
 
This just in, you cannot knife a guy from behind if he's on a mortar. Your knife comes out but you can't do anything.
