Battlefield 5 (2018)

I am not going to buy it, if there is no trolling opportunities or kits for said purpose. I can't play try-hard for more than 20 minutes after that I get bored. That killed BF1 for me.

Man I miss BF2, BF3 and BF4 64 player servers.

Also trailer looks K@&.
 
Since playing Escape from Tarkov I look down on all other FPS shooters :p It's by no means a perfect game - buggy as hell still, but it showcases how more realism in a shooter can be a lot more tense and fun. I remember thinking getting a chicken dinner on PUBG was tense, now I play PUBG to take a break from Tarkov lol.

This fast paced running around spawn/die/spawn/die explosions and chaos everywhere type of thing isn't my cup of tea. Fun for a short while only. And every iteration of these games nowadays (BF and COD) are just getting more ridiculous. Lol @ AngryJoe (YouTube) on his thoughts on the new COD by the way :crylaugh:

I am holding thumbs that EA have learn't their lessons - I have "faith" :D

If they can redeem themselves with this game, then maybe there might be a glimmer of hope for Anthem. Not getting my hopes up too high, as corporate greed is always present.
 
ugh... This is exactly why EA hasn't gotten away with it's nonsense for so long.

They mess up royaly until it reaches a breaking point: !@#$ EA, they must be dieded!!!!111!!!!ONE!

6 months later: Ooh shiny!
 
In the interview last night they said you can not buy any advantage, you have to play to progress.

Yes its my opinion, but so is every single comment about the game.. opinions..

Ive been playing the series since 1942, myself and some older players are all feeling the same. I guess this may be more a generational thing then? BF1 was crud, fun for a very short while.. BF4 has more longevity. Feels like the BF series has become a copy paste cash cow for EA.. and if you enjoy what they are putting out then good for you.

EA definitely wont have learnt any lessons, lets not be naive here. There strat didnt work, be sure they have other strats...
 
I agree with you on your thoughts about BF1 - It didn't grab me.
But as they said in the reveal - it all started with WW2 (1942) and with all the changes in technology now, it's the perfect time to go back and recreate 1942.

Honestly though, graphically etc, what else could they change in the BF series besides maybe a reskin (like you said and I agree with) ?

Boils down to the same thing with FIFA - they are stopping this 'yearly' thing now and going another route because ultimately, all they do is change the teams now - graphics / engine updates are non-existent.

Actually, a remastered BF1942 - as in, the exact same game, with updated engine and graphics - would be freakin' awesome.

El Alamein, Berlin, Stalingrad, Omaha Beach... Some great memories on these maps. :)
