BBM will be available as a free download for Android smartphones running Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean (Android 4.x) beginning at 7AM EDT on September 21. BBM for iPhones running iOS 6 and iOS 7 will become available for each market on the App Store schedule of 12:01 AM local time on September 22. And stuffed to the gills with adware

RIM has, over the years, built a reputation on not delivering any promise on time. Often months have gone past deadlines before products of services has been released.

It will be a simple miracle if this app will be available today.

Yes, once you've installed non-BB aps (need BIS for this), it'll work without BIS.

Well it seems that google have seriously dropped the ball on this,so many fake blackberry apps finding their way through on to GOOGLE PLAY, all of them malware,the backlash on the Google Playstore is going to be huge after this.Google really needs to up its game in screening submitted apps,this is the ultimate proof of the system(appstore) being unsafe

I wont be surprised if blackberry cant submit because a fake has used the name already!The app is live on new zealand and australia Apple appstores.

Nope, its submitted and ready to activate. They having an influx of people creating accounts (just using the leaked application) that the servers can not handle.
