BDS vs Woolworths

would you define that as "a lot of controversies" ?

It's one too many.

This is also stupid:

Pharrell Lanscilo Williams, also known by his mononym Pharrell, is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer and fashion designer. Wikipedia

At a time we're struggling with a low value Rand, we're paying dollars to that guy. You know because Woolworths can't nurture home grown talent.

BTW woolies really sucks these days. Products out of stock, managers are rude and unapologetic and tomatoes are sold with mold on them.

Dude if you're overweight, those buns are haram for you.

shhh...I'm still day-dreaming.

"Harem Buns...warm and moist in the middle."

That's the tagline sorted...whose got a recipe? This could be our golden ticket...no one would buy less than 6 dozen at a time...we'd be making money hand over fist.

i see you're still bent out of shape about that woolworths coffee voucher !
wont you remind us all about the coffee voucher story - was quite a hoot if i recall.

interesting all those problems you seem to have - i use 3 different stores in my area.
products out of stock - yes, i've experienced that - usually late in the day when i usually get to a store.
managers being rude and unapologetic, i can only laugh at you.
i have never (yet) got fresh produce with mold. i have made a noise about ice cream that was not right (was a change of recipe on their part) they offered me any other 2 x 2l ice cream tubs as a replacement for the one i purchased - dont be ****ing with my ice cream).
i made a noise about them discontinuing the profiteroles swimming in chocolate mousse - the manager grabbed the last 4 from the city store and gave the 4 to me for the price of one as the best before date was 1 day away.

Ja....have to say, I cant recall ever having a bad experience from a woolies. I have found their staff more pleasant than PnP and mould on veg? Seriously? If anything, I am worried about getting cancer from their fruit and veg because only way it can keep that long in my fridge is if it has been irradiated by nuclear waste .... or it is from the devil ..... and I am not religious. So............ :wtf:

:p

Actually Woolworths modified their WW Black vouchers to clear up ambiguities and now they allow what I originally wanted.

The excuse that something can be out of stock because it's the end of the day does not fly considering people often do food shopping after work. It's really poor stock keeping and attempts to save money by keeping stock levels low. When it's popular products however it's really ridiculous. If you advertise and stock something, make sure it's there consistently. If you don't have it, be polite and apologize, don't make excuses, offer solutions, which some of these guys are not able to do. If you can't work with customers, work somewhere at the back and not where people see you, and what is that name tag supposed to be for? I'm not interested in why you don't stock something which was there yesterday, I want it there. If you don't want me to shop at your stores, don't advertise. It's a one big fsck you to a customer, especially one who spends a substantial amount of cash there, to just roll your eyes and make a lame excuse especially where one is not needed. An apology is needed with a solution, e.g. "I'll speak to our manager and try to get more stock..." or "I'll call another store for you and find out...".

I've had these problems with Bayside Woolworths which is a large store. And that includes popular products their lower manager claimed were not cataloged, which was nonsense considering the items sold the previous day and sell at smaller shops and staff at smaller stores actually apologised for the guy and found his behaviour odd.

Just today I found cherry tomatoes with mold on them at a smaller Woolworths near the coast.
I've previously run into spoilt long life milk at Bayside.

Mold can be also carcinogenic. Just one example:

i have had that before - specials - not on the shelf.
when that has happened i have called the manager and on those (2) occasions he has scuttled off to the back and produced the goods.
on one occasion there were multiple items not on the shelf - he produced all, save one

I've had that with ordinary items, priced at regular prices.

I can understand if a special is sold out.

make noise at head office.
when the tell you they will gladly replace, tell them to deliver as you are not prepared to waste petrol driving back and forth due to rotten products.
did your heels in.
paying premium price entitles premium service

Have to agree. But the out of stock items have caught me out many times, irritating.
