Yes, you won't be billed for your mobile data on 1st September. The next time you pay is 1st October and you'll get 5GB. The data doesn't roll over.

There might have been an error somewhere but the data is valid until the end of September. You will only get 5GB between now and 30th September. Only in October will you get another 5GB.

Sorry, the indoor was with vodacom, the outdoor was with afrihost mtn card. Indoor cannot connect at all. Had to go outside to get this speed above. Sorry for being to vague.

It's probably just very poor coverage in your current location - have you checked your coverage as yet?

That's what I don't understand and am yet to see an answer for. Why can't normal MTN subscribers benefit from the same discount?

Hopefully Afrihost will now be able to bundle some 3G data together with their capped/uncapped ADSL plans. This could prove to be popular.

Because Afrihost is subsidizing the initial cost of the devises and data with their Advertising budget.
They are thinking long term.

Normal MTN subscribers will be able to benefit from this.

Just not yet, but they did say that when they release more deals/bundles MTN subscribers will easily be able to use the "afrihost" apn

Here are some quick facts:

1. The 5GB Pre-Order deal is inclusive of the 3G MiFi with a standard-breakable-to-micro DATA ONLY SIM.
2. The deal is 2GBs of standard Anytime Data plus an additional 3GB of FREE Anytime Data until the end of Feb 2014, at which point the promotion will be revised or extended.
3. Data is month-to-month with no rollover
4. This deal is only available on an Afrihost SIM for the purpose of this launch (our APN on MTN contracts will be available on commercial launch on 3rd September)
5. One SIM, One Connection. Data packages cannot be shared across multiple devices except through using the MiFi Device.
