I agree. @AfriNatic was excellent. Furthermore, Vumareach as you said is unstable. Since i work from home and have to deal with US clientele, Vumareach has been a disappointment to date. My ADSL, even though slow, was stable. Let ke also add, that Openserve highest priority is installation quality. Also, all fibres have to be tested, run traces to see if it meets their minimum requirements.if it fails, the subcontractor has to redo the joint and resplice, You can only invoice Openserve once they have accepted the splitter boundary. I was some years ago involved in a similar project, as project roll out manager, for Nokia. Oir client was Openserve. Will did fibre rollout for them in Rondebosch. It was tough for us as Openserve expects high class installation quality. And this is reason why they so stable, even more than other FNO's. Openserve long term objective is to decommission their copper network.

Has the faults been due to theft or vandalism? or just technical faults? but yeah that is a high number of outages for an area

Lets hope Openserve fibre won't suffer the same problems.

I know the latest was a fibre break (not sure if this is related to theft or vandalism) and the rest all technical faults
 
@AfriNatic Morning. What's happening with the internet, frequently disconnecting since yesterday. Started last night. I see MitchellsFibre having same issues. Pleaze advize

Morning,

We have been working through the nigh on the issue with Aex. We see stability on the graphs since around 09:30am.

Please let me know if the issue is still ongoing.
 
This seems to be localised to Afrihost as other people in the area on other ISP's are not affected
 
mtn 5G although not complete for belhar, surely the 1TB deal and your own 5G router could work?

On a side note I placed order for openserve Fibre and openserve got the address wrong. Techie called me for installation at a Durban address and I'm in Cape Town. :eek:

They need to update their GIS. This usually gets done as splitter boundaries are audited, quality approved and signed off. I am surpised that Belhar Openserve fibre only in pre-order stage, not yet live, and a techie calls u for installation.....strange
