They need to update their GIS. This usually gets done as splitter boundaries are audited, quality approved and signed off. I am surpised that Belhar Openserve fibre only in pre-order stage, not yet live, and a techie calls u for installation.....strange
Yeah I found it weird as well. Since the area is still in rollout phase but its very concerning that I got a call for a Durban address

Just checked mine and its not up yet so will have to wait
Check to see if u can see if their are boxes up at any of the neighbors in the street. U can then also verify, input your adress on openserve website coverage map. Its should show graded purple...in progress...pre order

They stuck that big ugly box on the wall of our house close to the roof.
Is this the box mounted against your wall? Very strange. Sometimes they use combination of slimboxes (aerial, pole mounted) or boundary box in front of your house/wall. Can you post a picture of the box against your wall?

check also if the fibre has been strung at your telephone pole where they leave a loop/coiled. then it goes to the next pole and the next....there should be existing telephone cable, as well as fibre cable running in parallel

It looks like that box. I’ll take a pic of the box when I get home. Like I said it’s on the side of the wall close to the roof. They installed it two weeks back. I think they put it there because we don’t have a phone pole in our yard.

Looped cable was there yesterday and when I checked now the looped cable is missing so not sure what happened since its in the neighbors yard

Do u have your own pole in your backyard or is it in neighbor yard directly opposite your backyard? Do u have am existing telephone cable. Where does it come from? Best way is to check on ghe link to see if u covered. Let me know

Pole is in neighbors yard and we had an existing line from that pole to our house. when checking on the site provided it is in purple by my address

So u covered and can pre order. They will take a dropdown fibre from neighbor pole to your house

So guess what just happened now. The contractors pulled the Fibre cables off the poles so it seems that I won't be able to get Openserve Fibre

And the box? Follow the cable route going into the box
