Best and worst cellular operators by the numbers

Just took a look at the SACSI website and registered on the site to access the report. Quite a useless report without any content.
They should at least include details on how the survey was conducted, more detailed results and areas where each bank or mobile operator performed well or poorly.

The MyBroadband and BusinessTech Polls are probably a better indication of what people think.

This is not a study worth considering.

These results do not tally with my experience. :confused:

My first contract was with MTN, then VC and now Cell C. :whistle:

Of the three, I am the most satisfied with Cell C, based on their network and pricing. :D

Having said that, Cell C can definitely improve on their Call Centres. :o
 
MTN have one of the worst customer service out there,

try changing your address, it took four times to submit the same forms to get them to change it.

However, SAcsi has now released more detailed rankings which shows that South Africa’s largest operators have the happiest customers.

I'm certainly not happy with MTN or it's prices. The only reason I'm forced to stick it out with them is because their GSM coverage is the best based on the areas that I usually travel between.
 
I would've never thought 8.ta to beat Cell C
 
I switched to Cell C a few days ago. My number ported quickly, my Straight Up contract is excellent value, prepaid prices are exceptional, I get awesome free stuff whenever I recharge and my data speeds have quadrupled. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

You can get the full report. You just have to pay them. A lot.
 
Both my folks in JHB are on the verge of cancelling their newly acquired CellC contracts as they say network coverage is pathetic.
 
it looks like the same thing again ... why does this need so much coverage??
especially when the data/results seems fabricated

If I want BS numbers and stats I read the MyBB articles on the BSA's take on the cost of software piracy.
 
MTN sucks

Who conducts this research - why don't you ask MyBB users?

MTN (MTNSP) is the worst:
  • MTN took (stole) R2,500 accumulated AnyTime credit when I changed from MTN AnyTime500 to MTN PAYG.
  • On another contract MTNSP overcharged me R342.42 in Nov 2012, still waiting for a refund.
MTN call center never phone back (808)
MTN ignore e-mails sent to the call center.

I'm so fed up with MTN, that I've moved one contract (the next one soon),
and if anyone ask me, I advise them to keep away from MTN.

If MTN "overcharge" me it's a billing error and nothing happens.
If I "borrow" a cell phone from an MTN store it's theft and I go to jail for shop lifting.
Where is the equality / justice?

Agree with you I have been robbed over and over by MTN, they are freaking theives.

I hate you MTN and hope you go bankrupt!
