Heya Squirrel. As per your PM, I can confirm that your area is still in pre-order phase. It's really encouraging to see that infrastructure is being added in your area and I'm quite confident that things will go live quite soon! I can assure you that your order is constantly being queried on our system and will begin to be processed as soon as your area is live. We'll keep you notified via email along the way. :)

How can my area be pre-order if I knocked on a neighbors door and saw them connected to FTTH? They said they've been up and running since last week.

What does it say on the Openserve coverage map when you enquire?

We ere in a similar situation - Several residents in our estate ordered at the same time with several different ISPs for Openserve fibre. In the end ISP Afrika got me hooked up while the other ISPs were still scratching their heads.

We only got our installation done about a week after the Openserve map showed 100Mbps when you clicked on the street address. It was dark purple for months before, but didn't show fibre at the street address (when you click).

OK so I've made some progress, I managed to get hold of someone at OpenServe. They have informed me there is indeed an error on the system. My address has previously shown FTTH as available AND unavailable over the last couple of months. It now shows it as available. After sending OpenServe a photo of the technician working on the distribution point 2 meters from my house (ACTUAL house, not the perimeter of my property, literally about 2-3m from DP to modem required), as well as proof of someone with FTTH in my road, Afrihost now believe me and are attempting to process my order again. Their responses have been a bit flaky, so I am not expecting FTTH soon..
