So as my garage flourescent light packed up and I decided to replaced with LED. I have already replaced a few years back the other flourescent fixture, so thought it would be similar.

So I removed the old fixture, but now face two problems:

1. Old fixture had enough space to keep all the wires, see picture

2. This junction box, is combo of plugs and lights and I am not comfortable leaving it like this.

New Led fixture is way slimmer, so no space for all the wiring.

There was no lid on the junction box.

Can't you replace that with a 4x4 box?

Can you not use the old fixture and just replace with the LED light, you'll just need to get rid of the starter and replace with LED straight through starter.

My plan was to do it this way, but the white wires is the plugs, and it is too short, as is one of the orange wires for the lights, so will redo:
