Better than iBurst?

yes I do know, I was there, on the abusers list. it was a once off thing however and there is a 9GB package with iBurst, but liek I said, whatever blows your hair back

Where there is smoke fire is not far away, and in the case of the """once-off""" account suspensions due to """abuse""" of a 64kbits/s throttle coupled with the WBS Executive Management fibs as published by ITWeb, one can expect the same or similar action from WBS in the future.

It is no longer a question of how good is iBurst, it is a question of can WBS' Executive Management be trusted in the future...

AFAIK WBS' 15th floor Executive Management still have not issued an apology to any of their customers - not even the customers that suffered with speedlessness - I certainly have not received any such email :(.

If WBS' Executive Management want their Karma to change, they had better signup WBS as an ISPA member & Sasan etc must swear a blood oath [their own 15th floor Executive Management blood - i.e. not blood from the 21st floor] to behave as a good little ISP from now on.

You just cant compare the two rpoducts, the one cost twice the other. lol
Tahts like saying hmm my ferrari is better than my fiat panda.
Drive the Ferrari for a year and your Broke :D

IC you can forget about an apology. The suspension wasn't a once-off thing IMO. They'll do it again I reckon.

tactically, it'd be good to force IBursts hand (assuming they're stupid enough to do further disconnections) - so folks should just keep on downloading & max out the so-called 64k connection. If IBurst pull another round of disconnections, then we'll know for certain what they are, and what to do. Its always good to get rid of uncertainty, especially when the uncertainty is helping IBurst currently keep x numbers of customers paying them each month, who've bought the Helpdesk's story about 'disconnections will never happen again'.

LG i am pretty sure that wbs wont go the disconnection route again. I would guess that if they start heamorrhaging too much bandwidth to the capped users they will just tighten the throttle a bit, now that they seem to have the bandwidth manager working.

Signed up with Axxess yesterday.

Trying to put the thread back on track...

Jacques, do you mind telling us what your total monthly costs are with the 10GB package? i.e. Axxess + Telkom line rental costs, and which kind of ADSL line you have?
