Beware when ordering from RARU...

The thing that worries me now is what do I do if something happens to my PS5? After a whole month of back and forth with scumbags.co.za... uh, I mean raru.co.za I finally did get my PS5 that I ordered from them, but now I'm wondering what do I do if something happens to my PS5 and I have to send it in for repairs. It's still under warranty, so do I have to go through raru (please God no) if I need to send it in or what? I'm just wondering for in case something does happen. I'd honestly rather take a nail to the eye than deal with raru again. It's just shocking that these clowns are not under investigation by now.
WTAF??? Your warranty is not with RARU, it is with the manufacturer. You send it in to any authorised repair centre.

You deal with Sony SA? :)

Still waiting for my refund. Will it help if I go to police to open a case of fraud? What else can I do?

Crazy that a well known online retailer can hold on to my money like this after they failed to deliver what I paid for.

Do that and then include their hosting provider and payment gate in the letter. All of them are facilitating. Infact if they have banking accounts, I would also include the banks's crime divisions.

There's also their CC/trading you can target.

This will only stop when enough people has done this and got them delisted.

Not too surprised
@AfriGuy - You guys realise you are facilitating a fraudulent and or questionable business/activities, right?

Did you pay with a card, debit or credit?
If so start a chargeback.

If you go the CIPC route then you would need a legal representative afaik.

I suppose there is CGSO?

Targeting: Ltd, registration no. 2011/006166/07

And the cycle continues

In fact, that would probably also be enabling and facilitating their behaviour, right?

Why would that be the case??

A successful chargeback will put a black mark next to their name in the banking industry and even better Raru will need to pay a pretty decent sized penalty to their payment gateway or bank for every successful chargeback and if I recall correctly a reduced penalty is charged even if the chargeback is not successful.

Banks hate companies that generate chargebacks, there might even be a strike system and after a certain amount of chargebacks Raru will get blacklisted in some manner.

Chargebacks are no laughing matter if you are a retailer and even more so if it’s due to non delivery of goods.

Update: Got my refund this morning.

Earlier this week I actually sent an email to raru to say that we will open a case at SAPS if the money isn't paid back by the end of this week. Looks like it worked. Was going to take it further today though, so glad it's sorted.

Won't order from raru again.

Seeing as this is one of my top go to stores for games and stuff, I can't help but wonder when it is my time to face issues.

It does seems that this store is having cash flow issues.

Never had real issues with them until my last 2 or 3 orders. Nothing but delays and cancellations but this was the first time I asked for my money back after waiting for delivery since October. They kept blaming the suppliers when I asked for updates.
