I think this has been discussed at length already. The double data was always intended as a one off promotion, we could not simply turn this into a standard product.
I wouldn't describe a 1.5 year long tariff structure as a 'one off promotion'.

Double Data was extended a few times, but clearly listed as a limited promotion that had to come to an end eventually.
* All Standard Monthly Capped DSL Packages (excluding 1 GB) get FREE Double Anytime Data on top of the normal monthly data allocation, until 31 December 2015, at which point the offer will be revised or extended.
It hasn't come to an end at all.
Hey guys
Before I respond to more questions, I just wanted to give you some more details about our 2 proof of concepts (POC's) we'll be asking you to test soon and the way forward.
The two POC's will be codenamed Afrigreen and Afriblue.
Each is fundamentally different from the other, and each has different benefits.
We are going to be giving as many clients as we can the opportunity to test drive the networks and then give us feedback on their experience.
I don't want to tell you any more about the structure or nature of the networks just yet as I don't want anybody to be biased in any way by any preconceived ideas.
Once we make the decision between the two I will let you know all about the structure, how it works, the benefits and the reasons for our choice.
I will be posting a link later where you can go and put in your current Afrihost username and apply to be involved in the POC.
Please Note: As originally mentioned the POC's will be ready for client testing within 2 weeks. However, we are moving heaven and earth to try and have them ready for your use sooner.
As soon as they are ready, you will either be assigned to Afrigreen or Afriblue and we will send you your new router login details to use so that you can go and test it out. These login details will be for the same package as you currently have with us (i.e. Capped, Home Uncapped or Business Uncapped) so you can compare like for like.
We will not be changing the AUP or FUP of any of the packages.
Hope this makes things a bit clearer.
Thanks.
@afri
maby u guys should make a new feedback thread for the new userd of blue/green so other users can see the progress and reading that way will make it easier to see who is best, what tread have the most complaints and who have the most good feedback
Hi afriguy have you thought of putting up a status section of the telkom exchanges that are down as most of the faults that i have had with my adsl have been related to the exchange going down.
AfriOrange or AfriRed more appropriate at the moment.More info from Gian around the POC networks
I was under the impression you've been referring to Mobile?
Nope, hence why I posted on 'Big Afrihsot ADSL Problems' thread.

How do you determine if your exchange is down? My ADSL (managed by Afrihost till the end of the month) went down mysteriously yesterday morning around 7AM, came back last night around 7PM and went off again this morning around 4AM.
Afrihost believed my router to be faulty or my account password... Both are fine. /facepalm.
Can ex-members apply?
my dsl was off for a day or so but all is good now?
