I found it is a little bit better when I hit zoom in twice (Ctrl and +) ... but yes, the font size in the reply box is small. The emoticons/smilies are gross and look like they are indistinct and out of focus.

I don't use keyboard shortcuts neither did I imagine a zoom feature exists so thanks for enlightening this noob....

I have change my setting not to display sigs, does help.
