Big Windows 10 update downloadable again

“When the November update was installed, a few settings preferences may have inadvertently not been retained for advertising ID, Background apps, SmartScreen Filter, and Sync with devices.”

just a few settings??

Everything reverted to defaults for me

Oh for f*** sakes! Will we need to download it again if we downloaded the previous one last week?

“With this free update, we have reached the point in the platform’s maturity where we can confidently recommend Windows 10 deployment to whole organisations,” said Microsoft .

Wait what.... so this is the end of privacy... Windows 10 is the last windows from here on out you pay for updates

Eish those forced updates. Before this thing came out i was eagerly waiting for it but the feelings haven't been the same from the day it was released. The world has really changed

The first official release 'th1' was promising something better. It didn't deliver and Windows Update was a disaster, it wasted 3GB of my cellular data. It downloaded complete ESD, then deleted it.

The second official release 'th2' (aka 1511) didn't fix major problems. Hardware manufacruters hold production, waiting for Microsoft to fix Windows, they are selling Windows 8.1 machines for now. Many people are reverting to Windows 7.

The third official release 'th3' (no release date yet) will be critical for Microsoft. They put everything on the scale to gain momentum on the phone and tablet market. If they don't deliver, they will lose desktop users too. They put desktop users on strain, as what is good for tablet is not good for desktop and in reverse. So be nice, Microsoft, let users decide how to handle updates and solve various privacy issues.
