Big Windows 10 update launched today

Was about 2.5 for me, then 5+ once extracted to the root of C: to do the install.

The ability to disable downloading device softwares automatically from Windows update (device installation setting) removed in th2 build. If you manually install the latest nvidia driver, it will be replaced with one provided by Windows update:mad:

Wasted 2.9GB on Windows updates last night:
Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, version 1511, 10586
Failed to install on 2015/11/13

It says "Will try later", but downloaded ESD file disappeared few seconds later. So I gather, it will be tryig to download again the same file (2.1GB). Full report will be posted in the software section soon.

Yes, I saw on a test machine I have that it failed twice, re-downloaded the entire update again each time. Insane. I downloaded the standalone ISO, tried to install from that from a flash drive, and that failed too. I suspect some pc's just don't want it.

I use Media Creation Tool, as Microsoft don't publish sha checksum on the website anymore.

For everyone. Never use Windows Update. If you are Windows Home user, keep Windows home without windows. I mean no Internet access around the major release. Download image elsewere and install from the image.

Just checked now on the test pc and it seems to have succeeded. That was Build 10586 installed via USB from the media creation tool.
