I have a I7 laptop from Samsung with a Ati 7660 Gpu and a Intel Hd 7000 Gpu. It's some type of all in one thing, when I upgraded to windows 8.1 I had to load a beta driver for the Ati part which resulted in a SLOW system. A bit scared to see what Windows 10 will do in this regard.

I would express caution with upgrading to windows 10 on a samsung machine. I did on my SO's Samsung laptop only to realize that samsung had stopped supporting the model since windows 8.0 so I had to go on a driver finding spree. It's still not working right with the biggest issue being the battery isn't being read correctly leading to it just dying at random points when not plugged in. (Point being samsungs website is awful and their automatic driver updater program is next to useless.)
Asus on the other hand have embraced the Windows 10 upgrade making it a breeze. I have windows 10 running amazingly on both my asus gaming laptop and my asus ultrabook. The only manual driver update you have to do is uninstalling the ATK and replacing it with the newer one. Other than that everything else is automatically updated.
Regarding above there is a solution, even two. In the System Advanced secion there is a setting which allows to stop automatic driver updates completely. If you prefer to keep automatic but you want to prevent installation of specific driver update, there is a MS tool linked on the website listed in your post. So this mater can be solved, but other critical issues remain.

Always use Windows 7 drivers if they don't support 8 properly, that is how I got my old Acer Laptop to work.

Yup had the same issue with Win8.1, but just the Ati part. Will try it though once I get my hands on a 1TB external for backups.

Very likely it will abort, delete partial download and download again. Even your download is complete it will clean it up on the first error. This is how Windows Update is working, complete junk.
Use Media creation tool downloaded from the link below, select "on different PC" and select ISO image. Then run setup program from the image. If you access the same link form XP machine, it will let you download ISO file directly, but they don't publish checksums anymore. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Does this link download the new version of Windows 10 or is it the Windows 8.1 upgrade?
There is no specific upgrade version. Now it accepts an older Windows keys, you can do fresh install. However don't waste your COA keys. Do either the upgrade without entering any keys or by running "gatherosstate.exe" found on the ISO on the current system. Save result on removable media and google how to use it.

How big is this update? Is there anyway to download it like a service pack? Or as a patch from another PC? Without reloading my whole system that is?
Similar to how win 7 sp1,2,3 could be loaded from another PC?
And any useful features added?, anything with turning off updates or anything spying related?, or must i leave my Ethernet adapter disabled?

Not sure what this update brought along but I see that my uninstalled windows apps like Groove is back...
Also, whenever I play StarCraft 2 or MK10 in full screen mode then the app minimizes. I manage to get fullscreen after a couple of tries of maximizing the app.

It's not an update, it's a complete OS version that comes as a windows update but actually does an in place OS upgrade on your pc. It's just under 4Gb in size.
The only change I noticed was that windows explorer title bars now have the same colour that you choose for the modern UI. Otherwise it seems stable, but then so did the last version for me.
As far as I'm concerned it's a one big "Meh".

Enable hidden and hidden system files. Look in the root of C: you should see a folder called $Windows.~BT, or similar.
