Binge Drinking! ~ Moose Calls Time!

So I fell off the wagon for the week,

I could have lied to you all, my Cyber Brethren, but I would only be fooling myself....

Perhaps it was the wrong location to take a camping holiday, maybe having another father with who was also a known potter....... But I knew when I was 60km south of Ai Ais in the desert and happened apon four retired South Africans in a situation that I would be delayed and needed to assist them, on completion of my mission I felt tired, dry, dusty and felt a sense of guilty entitlement and knocked back 10 cans of brew that evening... which by my standards is a mere flash in the pan....

For the next couple of nights, I had no more than 8 beers and evening, I be back home today and this evening I shall be attending a 50th...... Not one of those 50th's that you guys know, an Afrikaans shindig peppered with a varied assortment of older Voortrekker types, Ouma's knitting in the corner...... Feel a tad sorry for the Birthday boy, as I am pretty sure he would enjoy a good bender....... which off course I might be able to entice him to do....

SO, Today will once again be a final session and I shall only be drinking at occasions here after...... I have another 50th in two weeks time.... :X3:

Had to piss in the desert quite often, shall be posting a wee thread on my escapades soon....

Well that was a first, went to the the 50th Birthday party last night which was a spit braai that tasted befok.... Only about 20 people there and it was a sitdown affair, I was offered beer and had a solitary booze free German beer, A weiss, the birthday boy trying ever so hard to get me to have the regular brew to no avail.... Anyhow I was home by 22h30 and guess what? I awoke to a pounding headache at 0400 which the English HO attributes to me standing next to eight smokers by the fire....

Feel fantastic otherwise...

IMHO, just install a new ball and ball valve and it should be like new again.

Standing at the fire over at the local Bowling Club last night, the braai raging, My Favourite Doctor, Dr.Doppies next to me, mentions to the lads around that drinking is a good thing, "A goeie manier om stress te verloor, mense het te veel strees, dop is goed vir jou...." , he muttered through the swirling smoke as I could feel all the lads staring at my plastic bottle of sparkling water in my hand........

:sneaky:

You only had 10 beers on your last off?

IF I may,how many beers do you normally drink?

On A Wednesday, it would usually have been

8 x 440ml Windhoek Draughts between 17H00 until 18H50, at work...
then
about another 8 x 440ml Draughts over at the Club, home by 22H00.....

I don't miss the drinking ........

What I have noticed,

1) The Fog that was on my mind most days, gone! I am amazed at how clearly I can think these days..
2) More Energy
3) Sleeping better
4) No more bleeding noses

So I have no intention to start "big league" Suiping again and shall save it for special occasions ....

The speed, slow down Mr Needel!

Okay, I am glad I cannot make it past 6 Labels in an evening, but I also smoke weed more often these days

Geeez Morty, hopefully that 16 beers was only on Wednesday evenings.

Myself, I currently knock back a six pack every single night during the week and a dozen every weekend.

Hats off to you.

Understandable, I can send you a recipe that I have; I do bake them with Hash instead of herbabge. Less stink, and more potent.

Thanks for the offer, but I have professionals as neighbours, what more could you ask for....West Coast Diamond Divers...... ;)

This morning was slightly ironic, on the badminton courts at 07H30 with yon English HO, random music playlist, she got twenty two minutes of Pink Floyd, being a youngster, not her forte......... Whilst the tunes were winding down I got to thinking how my life has changed dramatically on this booze free journey and how much time in my life I wasted spent hungover, laying in bed for most of Saturday morning nursing my head when the next song came on...

Amy Winehouse ------ Going to Rehab....... :whistling:

Off course, I had a wry smile on my face......

Savanna also introduced a alcohol free variant. Although it contains alcohol. There is a loophole in legislation around this.

As far as I know, you can claim your drink is "alcohol free" if it has < 0.05% alcohol in it.

Well there was a mindfluck!

i don't weigh myself..... well let me rephrase that, perhaps once every three years I might climb on a scale and know that my at my peak drinking weight.....I was 148,5 kg....... Don't lecture me, I am quite tall and quite active, swimming badminton....... just have a boep.....

Anyhow after today's braai I noticed that the English HO had a new scale and decided to test it out..... lo and behold, 142,1 kg...... and I ain't dieting, just stopped the binge drinking..... Oh! and this was with a full belly of braai meat....

Me liking this side effect.......

 Only drinking if it is a really special occasion and you may all send messages of support now......

Ridiculous

Especially for pregnant women who 'think' it is safe to drink
