bwana v.12 said:Thanks for the link - can you suggest where I might look for blackberry service prices? I'm not too keen on taking out a contract if I dont have to as I already have my own 7290 - unless they're offering the 8700![]()

Pity - but there's no way I'm signing a 24 month contract if I dont have to. Soon as MTN plays catch up with the other provider then it will be worth a second look.MTN_Data_Dude said:I'm not sure of a link however there’s only one package on BIS for R159.00 per month over 24 months which will have any of the data bundles loaded with it.
Unless, you're looking for BES or both concurrently which will have BISBES as a product loaded.

My intention wasn't to introduce a Vodacom vs MTN debate but seeing as you asked I'm currently on a month-to-month 4u contract) with the blackberry add-on - which is essentially the only thing I pay for.MTN_Data_Dude said:As far as I know with Vodacom I'm assuming you talking about them if you want the Blackberry unit then you have to take out a 24 month contract, please advise on above

AFAIK people also use this option for general data options too when they dont want to be subjected to a contract.
No worries and thanks - I've got no qualms about changing providers if the price is betterMTN_Data_Dude said:Good day,

Andrew20 said:Has MTN actually rolled out a blackberry offering?, the website info is a bit iffy and there is no solid info in the marketplace?
Also a number of MTN SP's are advertising the 7100g as available. I thought this handset "failed" internal testing.....
MTN_Data_Dude said:There's an issue with getting the MMS to work

alanjohnstone said:MTN DD is this a problem with the 8700 or at MTN - i.e. does BB have to resolve the issue? My wife is waiting for one of these, on my recomendation, (works for an American company) and to be honest she wouldn't know what an MMS is (bless her and luckily she doesn't read this forum!)
Kind regards
