Blackberry 8707 (3G)

The target just keeps moving! I see Voda has received this for testing any news on availability on the MTN network?

Cheers

Damn! Do you know if there is pricing on the 8700 yet? Might be worthwhile buying this outright and then doing an upgrade next year.

Waiting for Midrand to get back to me on that one will advise ASAP

Thanks MTNDD

Just had a look at the Blackberry site, looks good but is the keyboard not a bit small?? Does it even have a qwerty keyboard, can't tell from the pics?

When is this expected in SA???

The whole thing is pretty small but thats what appeals to me atm. The keypad seems to be the same as the 7100 series so it will take some getting used to.

As for when it will get here - who knows. We've got a t-mobile blackberry contract coming up for renewal soon so I might get it in the states if they're not available here.

I've been playing with a evaluaton version of the Blackberry 8707 so far it doesn't connect to the 3G network using a USIM only a 32K so that needs to be sorted out other than that it's quite a nice device - Will report back on any further issues.

On the feedback on the 8700 I haven't recieved feedback from Midrand as yet

Good day,

The 8700 is only being launched in October, so I'm not sure when they plan on releasing the 8707 commercially, I know there is a issue with the USIM not logging on when you select 3G but with a 32K on 3G it's works hundreds

Will mail Midrand and see if I can get a rough date for you

Thanks MTNDD

And just out of intrest how can vodacom get it to work on their network so quickly?? Will this also mean that the 8707 will be on Vodacom first?
