Soon BB will face even more pressure when this happens : http://www.gsmarena.com/microsoft_apps_for_symbian_get_announced_we_rub_our_eyes-news-3109.php
Not really. Anybody still using a Symbian phone, is not using it to access email, the web or apps. Even moreso, they will not be the ones excited by the release of MS Products for their outdated phones.
The majority of people still using Nokia, use it because of it's simplicity, durability and reliability. Like my Mum, Dad, domestic worker and gardener. They don't care for the apps, OS and deeper user experience. The people who do care for these things, have moved onto iPhone, Android, Blackberry and other platforms.
In fact, Microsoft's announcement to provide MS apps for Symbian is very bizarre. I don't see the business case for it.
