BBM is coming to Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android mobile platforms

The reason for releasing BBM for other platforms for free is to try recover from the damage Whatsapp has done to their messaging platform.

I never cared for BBM. I wanted a phone that actually works. I guess I'll get the app when it comes but I'll still use WhatsApp rather than BBM

WhatsApp is free for the first year and somehow it just keeps on adding on the free subscription. After 3 years of using WhatsApp, this year I decided to pay. I mean seriously it's just $1, compared to the amount of messages one sends over WhatsApp we can all afford to contribute to it

On a serious note for the guys who haven't paid for WhatsApp. At one point consider doing it. Like I said $1 just to keep this fantastic product running is not much to ask

They haven't asked me to pay yet. Why should I pay if they are giving it to me for free? It's not like they are asking for donations either.
