I've decided to just jump in and go for the storm on vodacom. Anyone know of we in RSA also get a 8GB memory card in the box?
Yes. Mine came standard with the 8 GB card.

What version are you on?
.122, I want to upgrade to .141 as soon as it is available from Vodacom. Seems that .141 is already available from Vodafone.
Since I went to .131 and then .141, I cannot just view an attachment. Wants to save it every time...........
.........Latest 'official' feedback from Vodafone is that .141 has received 'Conditional' Technical Acceptance (as opposed to no acceptance for previous versions), so it should be all go for it.
Well, according to this link (https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/browseSoftware.do;jsessionid=JleTfpr0YHmV5uxXqFb9Mg**), which looks pretty official, .141 is available for download for Vodafone customers.
Clutching at straws here, but is your Storm's BB Attachment Service application still there and OK?
Sparticus correct.
I should mentioned it sorry.
I took the chance, I guess if I ever need support Ill have to roll back to .78 which comes with the phone/cd's
Although I doubt it, I think most of us on this forum are in a position to assist customer care, and not the other way around![]()
.141 looks good for acceptance.....
One thing:
If you get a mail with a .jpg attachment and you select 'Open Attachment', does it prompt you to save the file first?
Hi Guys,
How is the 8900’s internet performance without the 3G? How is the GPS performance? I like the look of the phone and I like the features as well as the price tag.
I’m looking for a phone that I can use to get my quick fix of surfing every now and again when I’m away from my computer. Check news24, emails, forums or submit superbru picks. If I want to start downloading big apps I can do it through my wi-fi at home.
So all and all, is the non 3g 8900 sufficient for day to day internet browsing?
