Blackouts starting now: Eskom

I wish we could experience power outages up here, man, the silence of the evenings, the crackling of a roaring fire, family around the fire, bag of marshmallows on sticks......a cold beer or two, or three, or four, or five, or six...... the meat waiting to be cooked, perhaps get one of the Moose's to play a tune for their old man on the piano.........

/Moose sighs as he sits in his office, staring at the aircon humming on the wall......

:(

It's a great way to enforce a few minutes silence for the passing of Madiba.

I'm glad he is dead, he doesn't deserve to see his lifetime's worth of work disintegrating at the hands of incompetent nincompoops!

No, in Durban tonight on stage 3 I am in the 18:00 to 20:30 time slot, I would not mind any other time slot except that one.

Jikes. That being said - R2.5 per kilometer isn't all that much. With a car you'd still be making a net loss. With public transport...maybe a marginal profit.

Actually the amount of diesel they are burning is staggeringly huge.

It is more than 2 Olympic swimming pools full per DAY (5 million litres).
wow - I knew it was a lot in terms of Rand value..but didn't realize the physical extent of it. :wtf:

Sad but true.

Last weekend/early this week it was all about how the load shedding of the weekend had allowed Eskom to build up fuel/water reserves and no load shedding was envisaged for the week ahead.

Today? The usual "unforseen" logistical and technical problems. I was unaware that BEE had resulted in a lot of blind people being employed as management at Eskom.

Stage 3 will last the whole weekend. ****. **** Eskom. **** you Zuma and your ****whore, Tshabalalalalalala.
