Blood Pressure...

Blood Pressure has been behaving the last while. Two weeks ago, started getting dry cough fits, at around 2am. My ACE class of meds, the most likely suspect. Thought would be able to power through it...nope, not gonna do that...come 1pm and I am in a rather tired mood. Seeing my doctor this afternoon.

What dosage are you on?

Medication is seriously nothing. It's a pill every morning, and costs R125 per month.
I need to start taking bp meds. My doc used to give me prescription for 5 months and then I needed to visit him again to get it for next 5 months - is this normal practice here ? So, you pay Doc about 400 rands for a prescription?

Yeah, every 5 months. That annoys me though.

was on 8mg of Pearinda -testing out Zartan 50mg - dry cough gone, but throat feels rather scratchy with the Zartan...there has been an elevation in my BP since the swop...giving it a some time to build up in my system...if there is no change in BP, back to the drawing board/doctor...

Mine's worryingly high all of a sudden. 160/100 after many years of 120/80 like clockwork.

But I think it's meds. Have been on prednisone and arcoxia. Took myself off them on Saturday, now waiting for them to work out of my system while at the same time trying to be more active. I really don't want to go onto bp meds....

Mine is usually sky high at the doctor.... like 170/120, but more like 135/85 at home. I've been following a low carb diet for almost two months and I have seen some improvement on my BP

Bud please for your own good don't **** around. Thats heart attack material and also organ damage is going to happen

I'm under medical supervision.
My doc is quite happy with 140/90 for the moment.

Once the underlying pain issue is resolved, we will revisit the BP.

(trapped nerves in my neck - well documented to cause high BP)
