I was around there as well.

First pill I was on was Lisinopril based (5 mg) and that gave me a persistent dry cough after two weeks (apparently about 30% of people get that). It didn't lower my BP at that dosage.
Second pill is Zartan 100 and have no side effect from it: http://home.intekom.com/pharm/pharmady/zartan.html. BP is at the top end of normal now.

No side effects from what I'm on now. Feel fine.

My first pill and the one you are taking are classed: angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors
My new pill is classed: angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB)

For what its worth.

High blood pressure

Thanks will be sure to discuss with doctor tomorrow. Do you smoke?

Ask your Dr about Diovan / Pritor
Losartan / Zartan is just as good
100mg Losartan
is quite potent.
Personally im not on any BP meds

Anything >140 / >90 can be an issue. Keep checking it as it is a silent killer.
Exercise, cut down on unhealthy foods, find ways to destress. BP can be controlled well, even without medicine

Probably put you on the 8mg?

Interestingly, my BP is not hectic anymore after I've decided not to give any more fcks. Let somebody else stress. Muhuhahaha.

No wonder high blood pressure is called "the silent killer"... it kills you without you being unaware of it...
Exactly. Doc said I was a heart attack waiting to happen. I'm a very highly strung individual . Who would have thought ??? Ha ha
