BMW Drivers = Psychopaths

so the independent mechanics I linked to, did you watch it?
do you not agree with them?

as I do, why would they lie, they get Rolls Royces and aston's and cheap Toyotas.

The one mechanic, I watch on a relatively regular basis.. and his dislike for BMWs is because they're a pain to work on from his standpoint but his focus is on American vehicles, not European. He is a generally good mechanic actually.
The other one (with that fscking shrill voice) is just a retard.

scotty kilmer is a retard? okay, thats quite a stretch,
because he tells the truth, you like it good, you dont well too bad...

and what does he drive himself, a Toyota...

Is he the twat with the shrill voice? If so then yes he's a retard... but thats been pointed out to you before in motoring threads by numerous people.

So what if he drives a Toyota? Doesn't change the fact that he's an annoying retard.

Look bud, you should have studied harder at school and worked smarter. Then you'd also experience upper class living.

Don't hate on sophisticated, successfull people just because you were lazy.
who said BMW drivers are rich :whistling::rolleyes:

Seeing as we're using mechanics opinion as gospel here.
Maybe you need to watch some different mechanics then? Chrisfix has a BMW that he is building. Donut Media has a BMW that they converted to a rally car. Even speed academy has a few BMW's. BMW ahs won multiple engine awards, for reliability and performance. Their inline 6 is one of the best engines historically.

Then, if you switch off the american filters, you'll get euro car channels that aren't as biased towards american made cars, and you'll get a better impression.

Have they built duds? Sure. But Merc built a car that had eco friendly wiring that decomposed.. Honda's. I'm gonna link that, not typing all of that. Every car manufacturer has screwed up somewhere.

Maybe if his channel was a little bit bigger he could've had a BMW as well. Don't forget to hit that like button and subscribe. Also, hit them up on patreon.

let me ask this follow up questions,
how long do you hang on to your BMW? is it still in motorplan? does BMW do everything on it?
or do you do anything minor yourself , for instance , services, oil changes, headlight replacement ?

as I bet the most unreliable car, will work perfectly, if you service it at the dealer,
even if it sits 3 months getting parts, as long as those parts are BMW original
and installed by BMW techs, your good.

I know you didn't ask me, but let me chime in anyways.
Feb next year will be 10 years that I own my 2008 BMW. I don't work on my car myself most of the time. I did fix a squeek and change a light bulb, but that's as far as I go with it.
I have done services as independents, and I have done it at the dealers, because the dealers are actually cheaper.
I have had the brakepads replaced at supaquick, as well as the battery.
I have repairs done at independent workshops or at the dealers if the independents are closed for the holidays already. (BMW quoted R100K for turbo replacement, indies replace some pipe for a boost leak at R1K)

I have done a track day and some skidpan days with my car, and just about every time it gets up to proper temp, it will see 5000rpm+.

Yet, I think it fewer issues than my Tazz did when it was 10 years old. More expensive issues, sure, but no oil leaks or things like that whereas my Tazz had a couple. My Tazz also consumed more oil than my BMW does now.

As for resale value - owning an expensive car without motorplan is scary. I won't buy one without at least some motorplan left. See the quote for a turbo replacement for an explanation about how scary it is.

I would agree that the German brands, VW included, are not as reliable as the Japanese and Korean brands.

chrisfix also has a jag, another unreliable British POS,
if there were mechanics in SA that had a Youtube channel Id watch them, but so far everything everybody here says, nothing can convince me,
even if tomorrow I win the Lotto, Id buy a Lexus, as thats just a Fancy Toyota, or an Acura, as thats a Fancy Honda,

we dont get genesis in SA? as again, Fancy Hyundai.

Scotty is a legend. The ballie cracks me up ....
even me, love his deep dives into important things, like how does an oil filter work, how does a air filter work, and why do you need one.
always fascinating what is really going on every time you drive anywhere. as its not like you can see the oil filter and pistons moving up and down.

unless you drive a Minibus taxi.

Especially the i10... man, that car is not made for long distance travelling, way underpowered.

In the city it is fine.
Had a few of these as rental not fun at highway legal speed that consist screaming from the engine

so 4,7 M people like him because he is poor?

Likewise on that front... have driven an i10 and a Picanto as a rental... fsck me they're scary as fsck on highways.

you drive an I10 like a Human being, its place is in the slow lane, not at 3.5 times the speed of sound,
if you drive sensibly, rember its a 1.1, you'll smile when you go to fill up, especially with petrol being R20/L

if you want to drive like a bat out of hell, the Fortuner and Ranger guys are waiting.

A rental car is the fastest car in the world and the best 4x4

you cant drive a i10 or picanto like a BMW, it just wont work,
slow lane, 80-100 KM/H, and youll get there no problem

It had sweet fek all to do with the speed of the vehicle. I would never attempt to drive those things at the speed limit, they're just not capable of that for any extended period of time.

Its a little tin shyte box that gets blown all over the damn freeway when there is any wind.

its called a steering wheel, you need to hold it properly, when your driving,
not like a BMW and steer with your Knees....
