Hmm, well that's more reasonable.

Israel's sponsorship of, and encouragement of, illegal squatters is to their shame, no doubt.

The attempt to equate Israel and apartheid South Africa are gravely problematic, however I do hold that in terms of the definition of the "crime of apartheid" the Israeli government is guilty of the crime particularly with restrictions on marriage law and the illegal barrier constructions on occupied territory.

This is certainly applicable in the occupied territory but with respect to agricultural land the situation is a bit more complicated.

The pamphlet makes several allegations, with various “Factual” discrepancies in between, on Israel, what does this have to do with WW, “Woolworths sells Israeli products” – dim-witted motivation.

Why don’t you guys write a letter to WW explaining your cause, but rather disturbs the peace, or ask Muslims "nicely" to stop purchasing Israeli goods publically then take it up with them when they sincerely decline?
 
How did the "disrupting" tills protest go today btw guys... anyone actually go to Woolies? I unfortunately had work to do so couldn't spare the time.

Currently, products sold in the European Union that come from over the Green Line carry a label, but are not banned outright.

The European Union agreed to the Green Line poultry, egg, meat and dairy ban on February 17 of this year. The ban is supposed to go into effect on September 1.

Jerusalem - The European Union has banned the import of poultry and eggs from Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank, including annexed east Jerusalem, Israeli news website Walla reported on Thursday.

The 28-nation bloc informed the Israeli agriculture ministry that it recognised its veterinary supervision only within the Jewish state's pre-1967 borders and that settlement poultry produce therefore did not meet public health regulations for import, the website said.

An EU official in Tel Aviv confirmed the report and said the ruling was issued "in the spirit" of guidelines which came into force in January prohibiting dealings with settlement-based firms and bodies.

The settlements are illegal under international law and their continued expansion in the face of EU and US criticism was a prime factor in the collapse of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.

"This issue, like many other trade issues that come up in the framework of trade relations between Israel and the European Union, will be addressed within the framework of the ongoing professional dialogue between the parties," Walla quoted an agriculture ministry spokesperson as saying.

The ministry declined to comment when contacted by AFP.

"It should be noted that poultry and poultry-related products from the settlements account for under five percent of all such products in Israel, so that the new European guideline will not have much practical impact from an economic standpoint," Walla reported.

Nothing to do with the Gaza-Israel disaster, except having accelerated EU bans on Israeli imports, this ban also accounts a very small percentage. This ban is directly instituted due to illegal settlements, no arguing here.

However, Ep27 really needs to do his/her research when posting here...
