Ep27 with respect it is embarassing. Boycotting works when everyone stands together. By only having Muslims boycotting you are only doing one thing, isolating yourself.

We have family, friends, colleagues who are not Muslim, shouldn't we be asking why so many of them are not supporting boycotts etc, with us? Yes I have seen people standing together but they are few and far between.

I almost never buy from WW but now I will make a point of buying my monthly groceries from them and encourage everybody I know who thinks this boycott is idiotic to do the same.

Boycotts do not work in this country.. even the people who are standing next to you proclaiming that they are part of the boycott are still buying from Woolies...

And a ridiculous stupid boycott of this nature will more than likely increase woolworths revenue as it ends up being free advertising for them. I know that I will make a point of going to Woolies now to do some shopping.
 
Fury05: You, sir, have made it to my list of people I admire. It is a very short list. I agree with all of your sentiments. One does not have to make a fool of one's self to gain respect for one's cause - one needs only the facts and to allow others to make up their own minds. Your brand of tolerance is respectable.

There have been many studies that showed that "Dead Sea minerals" don't offer any benefit.

I've been boycotting our work canteen for over two months...seen no changes. Not due to their pro-Muslim or pro-Christian stance.

I would urge you to maybe keep up with the events and stages of the boycott and not stumble on it before wholly forming an opinion.
I completely understand what you saying.

But it's because you don't understand the backing, it's not a Muslim boycott.
It's a humanitarian boycott. At the march on Saturday, sisulu son, Vavi, Mandla Mandela and many others stood by and encouraged the boycott, they even said woolworths in particular which was surprising.

I've yet to find a recording of the speakers at the protest. I will search for it. None of the mainstream media showed the live proceedings.

But there is backing from all creeds of people. There are also some Muslims who undoubtedly can't seem to live without woolworths, the poor souls.

There's nothing in that article about them "inequovaliqy" supporting Israel. It, in fact, states that they're completely apolitical and customers can make their own choice.

It's what encourages the hate I'm afraid.
It's a propaganda war like no other. The Muslims have a terrible reputation in many peoples eyes. And it's understandable when you watch and read the news, there's been a systematic portrayal of bad Islam and it's working.
It's just that many people are now empowering the killing machine.

People are laughing and supporting the killing of another kind of people, it's like the nazi regime or the killing of witches.
Meanwhile Gaza with a population of a dwindling 1.8 million pf which only 15 000 are Hamas militants, innocent people are being killed systematically and collectively punished.

Still some are against it and others support it. We all just animals it seems.

But your boycott is selective...

Are you only boycotting things because you can get replacements elsewhere that aren't sourced from Israel (even though the may ultimately originate from Israel)?
