British series, mini-series and dramas .....

I'm just shocked at the murder rate in a small town like Oxford...reminds me of shows like Hinterland. During S02 I suddenly had the same thought: is there anyone left to murder in this isolated rural area?

Try Midsomer Murders, they are only villages and more violent than a South African taxi rank on pay day.

This lol. My wife and I always lol about them. The number of murders that happen in these places in the space of an hour show is mind boggling :D

Finally found Camping. Very good show :D
Followed this up with Stag and was highly amused.

Any other dark comedies would be appreciated. Thanks to those that recommended them.

Also... Camping seems to be painful as furk to find on the high sea's.

Nighty night. Julia Davis at her dark best.

Good weekend ahead. Whole of Top Of The Lake China Girl available.

I just deleted TotL. Didn't enjoy the dodgy sex scenes with a 70 year old whore.

Started watching Chickens (old) and it looks quite funny.

TotL could have been 3 episodes shorter without the fluff... there was way too much filler.

It's Aussie, but "The Code" season 2 has been up for a bit. Enjoyed Season 1 immensely.

In tried Top of the Lake China Girl but the Oz accent irritated me so, I stopped watching halfway through the first episode. Plus, I found it a bit stilted.

Don't say that down under, you'll get lynched for confusing the Aussies with the Kiwis :crylaugh:

After watching Masterchef AU, there's only so much of that whiny, squeaky accent that I can take.

Yeah, but you have to admit, the aussie version of that show is the best there is in the franchise.
Have you watched My Restaurant Rules? It's old but the best of the 'cooking' shows IMO. You'll get to see a younger Curtis Stone and others - it also covers wayyyy more than just chef work - economics and marketing come in to play as well. Far better but why it was canned is a mystery to me.
