British series, mini-series and dramas .....

Really enjoying Strike: The Cuckoo's Calling. Sky's Tin Star available on Thursday looks promising as well.

Inside No 9.

Similar to Room 104 but way better acting and writing.

Thoroughly enjoying Strike. I liked that guy in Three Musketeers as well.

Bad Move
Steve and Nicky are both on their second marriages and have decided that moving to the countryside from the city is the answer to all their dreams. They've watched all the TV relocation shows and read the glossy lifestyle magazines and fell in love with the idea of 'getting away from the rat race'.

Porters
Deluded Simon Porter dreams of passing his medical exam and becoming a doctor - but by starting at the bottom, and becoming the best porter the NHS has ever seen. All he has to do is survive a few months grafting in a hospital basement and try not to kill any of the patients. How hard can that be? Ed must work alongside the cynical, self-styled "Queen of the Porters" Frankie, and naïve nurse Lucy.

The new host/judge replacements on Great British Bake Off just aren't cutting it for me. I miss Mary Berry and the 2 dad-joke cracking ladies. Noel Fielding looks so awkward and out of place.

Initially I thought that I would hate the new line-up but I now feel it's pretty ok actually. I didn't like Noel before the show but I've warmed to him considerable. Paul Hollywood has even lightened up and he seems to be in harmony with Prue whereas with Mary Berry he was seriously grumpy most of the time. Don't get me wrong, I love Mary Berry and I've bought most of her recipe books and her dishes are a favourite in my home.

I guess I'm just rolling with the changes.

I’ve been meaning to watch Ripper Street for ages but keep forgetting it exists. Downloading it now, anyone seen it?
