it does matter if the wall is load bearing , ie the cement and the bricks has to meet certain structual strenghts
but in this case probably irrelevant as it won't collapse as it did because of that

some projects do but you have to have a really big team/project to be able to lay down enough bricks to be able to use up a batch in time
