Might some not drown if they do that?Anyone have any expreince with rescue mission, I was wondering why don't they spray water over the entire site surely if someone is still alive somewhere they will die due to dehydration? I remember years back in a disaster someone surived like a week as they were sipping water from a puddle.
Maybe we're confusing foreigners with work permits with illegal foreigners (which SA has a lot of). It's not illegal to hire foreigners in South Africa, however much you wish it was.
Very sad situation. I'm glad they pulled that one survivor out over the weekend though.
Prof GT is still going strong at age 95Oh JC, so you have a small ego and now you have to storm onto an internet forum to pick a fight with a random stranger you know f-all about?
FWIW, doing a BSc Eng you learn a lot about a lot of things before you complete your degree, which for me was ~40 yrs ago. If there are folks about that knew him, they'll tell you who Prof GT van Rooyen was. So, yes I may comment on certain materials ... but as as I also said, do that phone a friend.
So put that in "your ass" and look for shyt elsewhere.
I wonder how easy it would be to get this work if you don't have a work permit?Maybe we're confusing foreigners with work permits with illegal foreigners (which SA has a lot of).
I also don't have any rescue knowledge but would spraying water not cause sludge or slurry that would increase buoyancy of loose material and therefore worsen instability?Anyone have any expreince with rescue mission, I was wondering why don't they spray water over the entire site surely if someone is still alive somewhere they will die due to dehydration? Will they remove everything and declare this erf a memorial site for those that have left us? Like they did for 9/11 twin towers a few years ago
Most people have their own life insurance in place.Even more importantly, I hope that the families will be properly compensated.
Surely projects like these have to have insurance policies in place?
How many people are still missing?

Agree 100%Even more importantly, I hope that the families will be properly compensated.

Agree 100%
But after all is said and done I hope the property developers are not greedy and go ahead and build another building on this cemetery where so many have lost their lives.
The government should compensate those at financial loss here and decalre that erf as sacred and erect a memorial of some sorts like Trump did with 9/11
Trump??!Agree 100%
