Bulletproof Coffee

Bulletproof is a brand name, I prefer to call my version Full Fat Coffee

2 tbls butter
2 tbls coconut oil
2 tbls Omega Sport Oil (I think it's about 50% MCT)
2 tbls cream

Does this provide any benefits if not following a ketogenic diet?

If your carb/sugar intake has caused damage to your cardiovascular system already (very likely for most of the population to some extent) then upping your fat intake while maintaining normal carb/sugar intake could be detrimental. Only on condition that you have pre-existing problems. The fats won't cause any additional problems - they'll only exacerbate existing ones. You'll also start to put on weight in a big way...

Question - since we can't get the upgraded coffee here, what coffee is recommended to use instead? Also do you have to use the french press or can you do it with a machine?

The Bulletproof coffee is just a re-branded high quality coffee with very little mould. Any good quality coffee will do. The BP coffee is not about the coffee as much as the healthy fat added to it.

French press is also not necessary, you can do it with a machine if you want. But you have to mix it properly with a blender or mixer else its very gooey

Aaah ok thanks, any recommendations as to what coffee to use? Not very clued up when it comes to coffees.

Dont deny it till you try it :D

it's fantastic stuff.

Starbucksify? I doubt that lol. Whey in coffee? Nice gym food I'll admit.
P.s. I left the butter on the lawn for over an hour and it melted. How do you feed yours grass?

Run lawnmower over lawn without grass box, gather up about 500g freshly cut grass into a blender, add 500g melted butter, whisk until mixed to a nice creamy green consistency, pour into a tupperware and place in fridge to set

Awesome! :D

I am disappointed at local retailers... I'm yet to find a shop that stocks Kerrygold unsalted butter. I see plenty of salted Kerrygold, garlic and the dodgy processed soft stuff, but no unsalted. Tried woolies, checkers, pnp, spars, OK. No go. Anyone have any place online that will sell it to me?

First place to start is to make sure you are not using blend coffee - go for 100% arabic or other. If possible, go for beans instead of already ground.

why bother with imported butter when you can get really good local pastured stuff? Where are you based?
