Bulletproof Coffee

The less salt in bpc the better. If you talk about salty coffee anywhere in the world you'll be executed without trial.

Creamy and oily yes, but stay the fek away from salt.

I use Macadamia, Coconut Oil with fresh cream. no butter.

Delish.

Adding salt doesn't mean it's automatically salty. Salt is a flavour enhancer and also cuts down on bitterness.

Except this isn't an exercise in making perfect coffee.
It's about making BP coffee, and for me the taste of salt & fats in coffee is nicer than without the salt.[/QUOTE
So you can't make perfect bf coffee?
We've become accustomed to sweet coffee. If we can get bf as close a as possible to real coffee why not.

We're not talking about adding salt but rather the salty ingredients that might make it salty.

Isn't it better to start with salt fee bbc and then move on from there?

Besides, excessive salt is always an enemy to long term health.

Besides who doesn't like a cup of salt free and bitter Expresso.

Why? If you try it with salt first and don't enjoy it, leave it out. If you try it without salt and don't enjoy it, add it. What's the real difference?

Excessive anything is. Those on ketogenic diets are advised to up their salt intakes.

Not everyone enjoys bitterness in their coffee. I like a bit.

We're already adding oil to it. I'm not really concerned about honoring the coffee at this point :).

If I thought moderate salt consumption was harmful - I'd agree, but I don't, so...

That's how I drink my ESPRESSO (dafuq - you talk about salt warranting execution...you say eXpresso anywhere in the world & you'll be executed without trial).

I have been drinking BP coffee for a while now, works a treat. I use Kerrygold and Battle Brew MCT oil, but I've not been able to find much info on decent coffee available in SA. Any suggestions on low mold brands available? Are Nespresso pods (or alternatives) suitable?

Find a local roaster. Alternatively check out Legado.

WAHAHAHA, @ Fanie I see MickeyD heard my prayers.
On the Lavazza, that's my next purchase. I have to try it. And seriously cheap compared with Illy.

Is that why you were up so early?
Neighbors dog was barking had to check if anybody in the yard by switching the lights on outside and hoping that would be enough to deter any burglars.
