Tis true they opening six, 6, BK outlets in Cape Town by Dec. Cavendish and Tygervalley are next on line in 3-4 weeks and then there will be 2 Drive through/ Drive in for those fat asses who can't be bothered to park and waddle in. No location given yet.
The bacon bit is samr1wp's trolling going to work.
Mighty fine looking burger. Interesting how they can guarantee the same heat from their Jalapenos day in and day out, because at other places in town which serve jalapeno and all sorts of chilies the heat factor will vary from mild to wild with" just the right heat" being a hole-in-one shot.
I'll use my most recent example - Spur cheese quesedillas use the same chillies but heat is hit or miss and Dial-a-Pizza aka Dial-the-kitchen sink will have on their stompin hot pizza sometimes pathetic weak heat and other times very hot.
KFC and McD use chili powder in their batter.
So What's BKs trick to consistent "just right heat?"? do they use the green chilles regardless of heat and cayenne in the cheese sauce. ? Hungry minds want to know.
6 in CT by Dec and just the 1 opening in JHB in Jan - anyone else think bksa is clueless?Tis true they opening six, 6, BK outlets in Cape Town by Dec. You're just crazed that you're not "having it" at the moment
It actually makes sense.
Its pragmatic, timed and will get around everywhere very quickly.
Consider that they're getting 6 up and running in a few months - that's a quick turnaround time I think.
Give it time or fly down![]()
Another reason they opened in Cape Town first is tourism. No offence to DBN or JHB, but I think more tourist go to Cape Town than any other city (I may be wrong, but as far as I know Cape Town is regarded as the top tourist destination in Africa). So I figure they went the safe way, "if the locals don't support us (BK), all the foreigners will go to where they know.
I'm thinking if an American is at the V&A they're more drawn to Haagen Dazs (however you spell it), McD, KFC, SubWay than to Marcel's, Steers and Anat. (Which is why I though BK would open there first.)
