Burger King Review

Finally... I have dined at the long-awaited BK!

Queue was almost to Mariams, but it only took about an hour to get to the front.

I had the Big King XXL, large fries, large onion rings and a large chocolate milkshake (they were out of strawberry).

All of it was exceptionally delicious, and really fresh. The shake was out of this world! Not that horrible fake chocolate syrup - it tasted really amazing, like real chocolate.

Only an hour? :erm:

Nope - I couldn't do that.

Will wait till mid June and then pop in.

Burger King Opens in South Africa _ With No Bacon
/+
JOHANNESBURG May 13, 2013 (AP)
The company that gave America the Bacon Sundae opened with a big splash in South Africa — but no bacon.

Burger King South Africa CEO Jaye Sinclair says people lined up for hours at the weekend launch in the coastal resort of Cape Town.

But a few customers called Talk Radio 702 Monday to complain there were no bacon dishes and ask why the company was catering to a minority. Sinclair said the company respects South Africa's multicultural society and doesn't want to limit its customers.

Official South African statistics show that religious groups that do not eat pork here include 11 percent of the 48 million people who belong to the indigenous Zion Christian Church, Muslims making up 1.5 percent of the population and Jews 0.2 percent.

I see we are a "resort town", mmm, mmm,

well considering you guys can queue all week for burgers and the economy not feel it, its obvious no important work gets done there :)

you need to get laid... badly.
LOL, I post about the problem of obesity and all you can think of is getting laid  Each to their own I guess, though I do understand more now why some people are so overjoyed about yet another junk food franchise...

This is a very well presented review,I like it! Pity I haven't had the chance to get my hands on one of those burgers

HI guys, does any one knows when BK comes to JHB. I have heard two different rumors. One was only in year time, the other by the end of this year. Can someone confirm. Just got back from oversees, but all ready missing the King :)

I'm strongly consider doing it in Dec time, if i don't go oversees. I want to do the Garden route as well and maybe can do it then. Afraid it will be to full with tourists. This is what stops me for now. But yes, i'm thinking about it :)

How many more are they opening in CPT by Dec time. Does any one knows?
