Burger King Review

I find Hudson's really disappointing. Chips are nice but the burgers... Often soggy and not cooked through

No, way.

They are the best around. You should ask for it well done if you want it cardboard style.

I love that they give it to you medium or rare if you want it.

:wtf: Ok, I haven't read this whole thread or the other burger king threads and I like burger king as much as the next guy but wtf is the mayor of cape town doing, opening a junk food chain restaurant? Seriously wtf? It's just wrong

What's wrong with it?
Junk food is perfectly fine in moderation
BK is probably no more unhealthy than any indian or italian restaurant

Junk / fast food is not healthy in any way.

And when was the last time you saw the Mayor of Cape Town at the grand opening of an Indian or Italian restaurant (or any private business for that matter). Next she'll be doing the grand opening for bottle stores too

GOOD LORD

How's the parking situation looking?

LOL - 5 minutes after I got in I looked back and realised that I had hit lucky gap - the queue was back to halfway to Mariam's

LOL LOL - I restricted myself to a Whopper and some Onion Rings

Whopper was definitely better than McD's (the patty was only marginally better but the overall burger is fresher and more filling)

The onion rings were quite nice - a little saggy/soggy though - I expected them to be crispier.

Anyway, all good.

Decent fast food.

Meh! It's probably only because its the FIRST one in South Africa (Africa?) - so that makes it significant. Doubt she'll open any others.

Wonder if she'll open the first obesity king too

You are such a moron. Have you actually looked at the nutritional analysis for these burgers? I seriously doubt it. One of the burgers on offer has around 360 calories, which is actually not very high at all.

Also, they GRILL their burgers.

Go away and complain on your own thread - this one is for BK appreciation, not misinformed trolls.

And how about their bottomless cooldrinks... how may calories in those?
Hey, I like burger king as much as the next guy, I just don't think the mayor should be doing the grand opening - should not be promoting junk food for one, or advertising a private company on behalf of the government
