I had BK last week in Tygervalley for the first time and it tasted like schit.

I'd much rather get my fix at Steers

steers is way ahead of the game

but between mcds and BK ..then BK

but BK prices are crazy so steers burger and chips for R30 is damn good

If steers dropped their prices a tad or included a drink with their burger and chips meal for R5 extra, they could make a nice indent into the McD / BK market.

BK is a lot better imo than McDs, but neither one of them is really great.

i loved my Big King XXL combo meal

had it with pepsi

chips were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. had a nice sprinkle of their flavoured salt i think.

patty tasted like real beef should. sauce was divine.

two thumbs up from me!

now come to Gauteng FFS!

Had my first BK meal today (Tygervalley - No q's)
Not bad at all.

Chips was exactly like McDonalds, just thicker cut.
The Burger (I had a double whopper) was huge and filling. Very fresh bun and tomato and onions. Patty had a nice flamegrilled taste. Only thing that bothered me was some aftertaste. Almost plasticky. Not sure if it was from the patty or from their mayo.
Want to try the onion rings next time.

had the extra long chilli cheese in the week. there was no chilli though. it was acceptable. except for the grill taste on the patty. its exactly like macdonalds quality. although until i have the big whopper im not sure they have something like the mcfeast deluxe. chips are better than mcdonalds though.

I had the misfortune of having a burger from them this weekend. Wow, terrible, terrible stuff.

The burger was this limp, floppy, greasy *thing* and you couldn't identify the individual components by texture or flavour. The chips just tasted of oil and while the outside was crispy the inside was like styrofoam.

People queue for this rubbish?

These places are conveyer belt production lines made to make every meal the same.

So why would I eat there again knowing that the next time will be just as bad?

So you don't think that there's a slight possibility that you were served by some entity having a bad day?

No, I really don't think that was the problem. The lack of flavour, identifiable components, greasiness, texture and overall size of the burgers indicate a larger issue with the food than just a lazy burger flipper.
