Burger King Review

I had to drive past Burger King today to get to the Waterfront, as all the roads are closed (crazy doing roadworks on Mothers day) anyways, the queue was insane. All around the block at about 13h00!!

I drove past around 6pm and there were about 100 people. Really wanted rings and a shake

So how long does everyone reckon it will be before the riff-raff finally leave (assuming they will at some point) and the waiting times normalise to 10 min so the rest of us can eat ? A month?

What was insane is the waterfront digging up the main throughfare to make a parking garage and a new premises for PNP and now there is no more through road. But that did not deter, as every single spot in the breakwater and other garage where Toy kingdom is was chock-a- block. Then further insanity at the corner of the convention center where they did roadworks scheduled til tomorrow hopefully before rush hour begins.

Real question is how long before BK turns **** due to not being run as it should after the honeymoon period...

I know! It was insane. I luckily got parking in the parking garage opposite Mitchells, right by the entrance which was a blessing. I know, there by that roadworks was insane!! I had to go through to Camps Bay afterwards, and by mistake took that off turn, so I had to go on the N1 all the way and then take a turn around again. Was not impressed. Was a madhouse at the waterfront today!

Well done Tim, eventually. Looks good and thanks to you I will definitely give it a try once they in JHB. Now if they would just include the bacon. <sight>

LOL women drivers...

So when and where is the 2nd one coming in Cape Town? We need something closer to Strand!

AFAIK the next three are Tygervalley, Grand West and Cavendish.

Plus two drive-in /drive through restuarants, yet to be disclosed. I'll hazard a bet one will be around Century City because it's going to be a traffic obstruction where ever they build them and Century city still has the draw and space. Maybe Northgate even due to easy NI access and plenty of space.

well with the advent of more BK branches hopefully they wont all be clogged up
with "rif-raf" and waiting times will be much better! but yeah I cant wait to get some
more rings and chilli nuggets

In GB. Across from Harbour Island. Where Scooters is. Then I can walk there in 2 minutes :)

Thanks for the awesome post Tim. Was wondering if you had made it when I walked past this morning.
