This is an old argument that we've had many times and once quite recently. On the one hand you have xtermin8or who believes, with unwavering support, anything the government tells him and on the other hand you have people who don't believe that the government is being honest about crime and the related statistics. With no reliable evidence then to go on the entire debate is moot.

I tend to side with Buthelezi's statement on "reckless implementation of the affirmative-action policy". He couldn't have said that better.

However, for political reasons, he tends to see it only from one side. "Government".

Private Sector too is also responsible for the reckless implementation.

At the end of the day, in my opinion based from experience is that the system is open to recklessness from both sides and its up to government to improve on that.

The problem is young white people are disadvantaged through no fualt of their own. The white people who actually benefitted from apartheid are all still in the senior board level positions.

We need EE but a balance need to be struck. 4 million people can't leave the country over night even if they wanted too. Why totally exclude a skilled sector of the country. Use their skills to build the economy for the benefit of all and actually increase the economic pie and not just cut it up.

My biggest point of contention is the BEE deals which add no value whatsoever to the economy it enriches a select few. New black entrepeneurs should be given a chance to build their own empires like the Anton Ruperts of the previous generation did without any help from the new Afrikaners government.
