Hi Guys, Im not sure if this topic has already been covered, but i'm gna give it a shot anyway.

As anyone with an HD capture device (for Xbox 360/PS3) will know, you cannot capture DSTV, they Block you through HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection), basically, the decoder recognizes what you are trying to do, and blocks you.

However, I have seen that the Xbox One & PS4 are doing the same, and people have solved the issue by putting an HDMI Splitter between the console and the capture device.

Has anybody tried this with an HD PVR DSTV decoder? Or, has anybody successfully bypassed the DSTV HDCP through a different method and if so, how?

I've got an HDCP compliant splitter between my Decoder, TV and HDMI extender and everything works fine

Hi Guys.
Any update on this. Do all splitters strip HDCP from a DSTV decoder. I want to be able to send the output to to a network streaming device

Not all of them, the one listed above from Tangled does or you can buy directly from Amazon for about R450 and you'll get it next week.

Cool. Thanks.

There are also others from Amazon claimed to work but is your specific suggestion tried and tested?

Also how can you get Amazon delivery in a week?

I usually have a friend that travels to US frequently but could b only in a month.

So not sure to go with the tangled one though.

The one I linked on Amazon is always on any list if you search for HDCP stripping.

Amazon shipping is really fast, usually no more than two weeks.

The one on Tangled doesn't have any make or model but from the picture it looks exactly the same.
