C&C Remastered Announcement from EA

I've been on this earth nearly thirty years and not once have I found a game that's come close to the atmosphere of Tiberium Dawn and Tiberian Sun / Firestorm.

C&C3 was fun to play, but as others have said, maybe too complex for fans of the first two titles to enjoy IMHO. C&C4 was a dumpster fire along with RA3

Lol, C&C3 was very positively received. Had good sales numbers and a very positive review score on Steam. RA3 and C&C4 spelled it's end.
Yep I meant C&C4 :) - the Scrin faction was added into C&C3 if I recall correctly...was quite a fun game to play!

I'm one of the few people that even liked Command & Conquer: Renegade.
I didn't mind it either, but preferred the RTS games.
I remember for RA a buddy got it for Xmas so he loaned me the allies disk and then he played the Soviet one was great fun. Then I picked up a copy with GTA for R99 sometime in 97 GTA was hectically discounted.

what do you guys think of C&C4? did anybody like it?
Nope, the worst of the entire series. Add to that it was an always online game many players couldn't actually even play it, you needed to be online to play single player...They redesigned alot of the game play and added unlocks etc irrc. Stay far away.

I don't think I even played 4 although I own it.

C&C4 sucked because they tried to imitate strategic point capture, something which SC does naturally very well as every resource gathering point is a strategic point.

Strategic points have been essential to competitive or matchmaking play, and that is bringing in the views and popularity. C&C4 wasn’t good at it and they alienated the brand right there and then.

Not to mention the progression system that they introduced, it was simply nonsensical and abusive in matchmaking.
