Calling Laptop Repairers -- Looking for Bluetooth Module

Report Back

OK
So after much trial and tribulation ( frustration and swearing )

The ASTRUM may well be BT 4 and LE but it is let down by the terrible included software
BlueSoleil attempt at a BT stack / software is pathetic -- good only for kids with headphones
I now see all sorts of complaints about the company -- Chinese Pirates !

There are only a few companies that produce BT software / BT stack
I tried them all
Even though Harmony / WidComm are meant to work with CSR they would not work with the ASTRUM
( Need a "license" )
Gave up trying to work with the impossible

Went back to the old DELL built in BT module
As mentioned previously
The DELL BT module 360 is also a CSR device but the TOSHIBA BT stack / software is really so much better , so much more professional -- works a charm without any hassles !

Stay away from anything that has BlueSoleil as the operating software
TP-Link uses the CSR BUT with the HARMONY BT stack

Rather try something with a BROADCOM device and whatever BT stack they use

PS ;
You can acquire the M$ Mouse and Keyboard 11 software for WINDOWS 7 here

Mouse and Keyboard Center 11 ( Win 7 X64 )

Bottom of line, you bought a wrong mouse.
NO Mr J
The 3500 is a WIRELESS mouse with a supplied WIRELESS dongle
( Which IF the dongle gets lost you HAVE TO buy a new mouse = M$ -- UNLIKE LOGITECH )
Sadly the DUMB Americans get confused with the -- advertising -- thinking the 3500 is Bluetooth

The M$ software is the SAME for the 3500 AS WELL AS the 3600

Here are a few -- solutions

Bluetooth Installer

Alternative Bluetooth Stacks

Bluetooth is a standard -- which M$ should abide by
It is not explained that the 3600 operates with NEW technology which is NOT backwards compatible

I may try again -- now that I have a few more options and know how to install the TOSHIBA stack
I may even get a TP-Link that uses the CSR HARMONY BT stack

NEVER GIVE IN NEVER GIVE UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yip, confirmed. You bought a wrong mouse. Non-Bluetooth is a low latency device, it means more precise control and you have Win7 drivers.

OK
So -- Mr Smartarse
What is "Non-Bluetooth"

I have a M$ BLUETOOTH Notebook mouse 5000 that is working fine
I have LOGITECH UNIFYING wireless mice and KB that are ALSO working fine

WHAT mouse should I have bought ?
Yes I know I can get any old stuff using wireless and a dongle
I wanted BT to save on a USB port on the laptop !

I tried to help, but you continue with Mr J or Mr Smartarse.
You are a sick man, admit.
What kind of help is -- "Yip, confirmed. You bought a wrong mouse"

Seeing as your post handle is -- SAJUNKY -- WHAT would you like to be addressed as -- your Royal Highness ?

Now is better, but why shouting?

I contributed on a key issue of BT LE. You didn't know it did you? Maybe someone else pointed it out before Mr J or Mr Smartarse? --- nobody ----

Pay respect for what you have received already.
And --- Yes, it is true, you bought a wrong mouse.

Bow down and submit to the dark prince himself... Sir Tinfoil hat aka sajunky.

Mybb's most cunning troll, he'll come in hot making out he's there to help only to bait the poor soul into a frenzy and when the whole mess explodes Sir Tinfoil will claim to be the victim..... Rinse and repeat.

This is your second post in this thread. It doesn't differ from the first one. Both carry personal remarks and nothing on topic.

I made a significant contribution to the topic, you did nothing. absolutely noting. So good luck accusing me for trolling, as you are.

I did say you were a cunning troll, you do make out you are helping only to start baiting the person you are helping when your "help" doesn't get the appreciation you believe it deserves.

Moving on.

You think, but unsupported. Where is a place you think it happened anything wrong on my side?

Prove it, you troll. If you can't, you are also a moron.

SO
Mr PITA

I CAN ......!!!!!!!!!!

I did NOT buy the "wrong" mouse

I went and purchased another BT4 USB dongle -- an ORICO Bluetooth 4 adapter for R200.00
Strangely enough it uses the SAME BROADCOM chip as the INTERNAL DELL 380 BT device = BCM20702

M$ Mouse and KB center working 100% M$ BLUETOOTH mouse MS 3600 working 100%

Now
PLEASE anyone reading this -- I am STILL looking for the DELL BT 380 INTERNAL device
I now know that it will work 100% and I can get rid of the external USB dongle

Thanks
