Can I call Telkom from data contract sim?

I need to get in touch with Telkom regarding a cancelled contract which they're still billing me for. I have another active Telkom contract data sim that I've put into my phone to use to call Telkom, but it doesn't seem to be allowing me to call 180 - I get "the call could not be connected". Am I not able to call Telkom free numbers on a data-only sim?

Not sure about calling from a data sim but I also cannot call 180 from my regular sim today. I Got doubled billed today and can't get through to support

Try loading some airtime, I don't know if that is possible but worth a try.

Hmmmm, I can't get onto their website - get "504 Gateway Time-out" - so maybe their systems are just all down at the moment.
