What the hell happened last night, and specifically last night to the network in Durban?
I was trying to postwhore in Off Topic, and i would be lucky to get 1 post in 5 through... Trying to log in to any site would just not happen.... It was very weird....
Its so bad on the South Coast we are using dial up its faster!!!
The problem here is not just international links some local ones are just as bad!!!
The problem with the international connectivity seems to be an undersea cable problem between Miami and Portugal.
If this is true, why do I only have this problem with Vodacom, surely it will affect my other providers also. (I have no problem at work or via Virgin mobile)
I've been having problems with my SAIX ADSL account over the last 2 days - very sluggish, also noticed similar at times using my ISDSL account. Haven't been on HSDPA since Friday when Telkodemonopolies necromanced my ADSL line back to life.If this is true, why do I only have this problem with Vodacom, surely it will affect my other providers also. (I have no problem at work or via Virgin mobile)
I see the problem is still here this morning.
A thought occured during the night. FTP has been a nightmare for pretty well the whole month. Maybe international connectivity has been shaped?
Ok. I've just tested v3g vs ADSL with Telkomsa ISP back to back. v3g breaks - ADSL works just fine.
Something's hosed.
It's not a speed issue. Unless you count the non-delivery of certain files as a speed issue![]()
I'll pm exactly where I'm having the problem consistently. But FTP access - we're going to have to know each other a whole lot better before that happens![]()
