Canon AE-1

So I've found a canon ae-1 doing spring cleaning at my mum's. What do I do with it.

Put it on display for a bygone era.
Get some film and get cracking.
Sell it to an eccentric film enthusiast.

If you are going to shoot some film with it then look at the light seals first. Cameras that old often need to have them replaced due to degradation over time.

Perhaps the best way to sell it is through the groups on Facebook. There is a local vintage camera trader group. Otherwise it is a cool looking camera as a display item.

Thanks. I think I'll try film when I have a chance. I'm guessing I need a professional to service it?

If that fails I leave it om a bookshelf

Great find. It looks very similar to the camera my dad once owned. Makes me wonder where my dad's camera went. Ah well, that's gone now. Enjoy your experience

Just remember, shooting film is expensive so find a good lab if you go that route.
