Fire in Kleinmond, VWS sent a call out for members to goto Kleinmond tomorrow.

Ah great thanks. Smoke went after about 2 hours which was a pleasant surprise. Considering the large dense cloud and windy conditions I thought it would take significantly longer to deal with.

Well done to those involved.

Seems it was Kleinmond fire which I think is still raging.

VWS has sent A team to go and help - I've contacted another 'group' and asked them if they are going to join the fight - I'd go with them.

I'm not 100% sure about 10... but I know 9 have been destroyed so 10 is possible, maybe even more by now.

I will NOT be a active fire fighter for VWS this coming fire season (2011/2012)

I have some other priorities to take care of.

Heard nothing!

The VWS were at the Outsurance Gun Run as marshalls today - just remember guys, I'm not a active member for the VWS this year, all the politics and drama - I decided to take a gap year from fire fighting.
But I've heard nothing about any fires from members.
