Cape Town man's beating captured on CCTV

Less than 2 days ago in Cape town a Taxi almost took me out when he tried to take over cars in 2 way traffic. I was on the Sidewalk!! Believe me, when I say the rage in me was so high at that moment that if that taxi driver heard me swear at him and stopped his taxi for a confrontation I would have looked for the first brick I could find and plant it in his face.

Wreckless drivers that could cause someone their life deserves a good beating.

Precisely, I get angry when people try to kill me with their vehicles by driving wantonly bad, not oopsie bad, but on purpose...

That dude went to the boot after that thug kicked his car. He was in the wrong though. So easy to be sterk gevriet when you are 3. Thugs.

Even the guy that got pulverized

Yes, reckless driving from the polo guy (he had to stop harshly to avoid having an accident with them).

The one guy could be had for malicious damage to property for kicking the car.

Actually there might only be those 2 guilty, the others can try to use self defence, the victim clearly wanted to get a "weapon" from his boot. Court of law would need to decide.

Running red lights kills, he can be lucky he just got a beating.

Look at the lights, they are green when the video starts, then orange while they are doing whatever in the intersection, and then go to red just before he drives behind them. He didn't run a red light, he wanted to turn right across oncoming traffic when he should have slowed down properly and waited.

Yeah, kinda looks fishy stopping your car just after an altercation and then going too your boot.

I don't understand why people can't just drive away, when someone screams at you in traffic and stops his car... just drive away, quickly if you can. It's just not worth it, what are you going to do? Win or lose a fight? You could have been having a beer or coffee with Jane from accounting.

I mean Jane! From Accounting! think for a second man. Now you're in the middle of the road talking kark to P@es from Elsies.

I don't know how hot this Jane is, but I do know the red mist that sets in when someone breaks the law AND has the gall to give me some flashing lights or shouting or the finger even for being in their way afterwards.

Thankfully have never escalated past that, but I know the red mist, I feel the adrenaline pumping so hard it shakes your hands and arms. Not that easy to just let it go, only thing that stops me most of the time is the realization that when you are that worked up any physical altercation could get much nastier than it needs to be e.g. ending up in court when really a quick broken nose would've been enough payback. That skull-cracking-with-my-bare-hands urge can be strong though.

I know that robot, you can only turn from where he[victim] came once the other lane is red, so its seems possible that he skipped a red light

Use that adrenaline, Jane will thank you for it... let go after a good pumping. Don't let go too soon.

OK, might be.

But since you know it, what is happening on the lights from the polos direction, while the flicker phase arrows are on, going to the right of the camera?

This incident happened 6 months ago, in Cape Town, and this quote:

" I thought the law is on my side but in Cape Town the law is not on my side, if you’re a black person nothing will happen.”

tells me that this story is nothing more than another chapter in the ANC's election campaign.
That the SAPS are not run by the provincial government is not even hinted at...

The poor victim obviously had a puncture which is why he stopped and started digging in his boot for a jack and spanner.

:D like I said, I don't know how hot this Jane is. Funny thing though, even if traffic incidents can get me in a ready-to-kill state, for some reason if the offender is a cutie I just wave and smile instead ...

Ok, as you are seeing the lights there, the furthest one left is for cars going straight. The second one is for MyCiti Buses [not running at that time, but lights still working]. The third one is for people coming south of the picture to turn to the right.

It works like this:

If going from South to North, cars and buses can go straight, all cars that want to turn [both sides of the road] have to wait until north/south is red, bus lane is red, and then flickering for turning starts.

Here you can see the turning lights start to flicker. So yes, Polo did jump the red light as well, almost drove in front of the golf, and then flashed them as well.

Both were wrong here.
