As members register we will be able to build up a list of ssid's and locations and plan possible links, but all in the planning stages. Just needed a central point for the ctwug users to get together.

i wanna set up too but am saving up for the equip at the moment (students without jobs don't have much spare cash). I'll be using my laptop as an access point in the meantime.

My buddies and I have been planning to set up a WLAN in the Plumstead area for some time. I already have a NetGear AP, just waiting for antenna's.
If you're close to Plumstead or Wittebome stations, you may well be able to hook up to our network. (PM me for more info)

NB: We are not doing this for internet access! Most of us have ADSL already.

* this also doesn't mean that we won't share internet at a later stage

Hey g15m0 and whoever else is keen on starting that Plumbstead WLAN. I used to live in that area and still have friends there that would be interested in this, one lives quite close to Wittebome station, in Stella road at the end close to Wittebome. If you would like to get this started or have already done so please PM me and i can get two or three more people to join you guys.

Also if anyone in Bergvliet is looking for a similar mesh, i could help, I alreay have a Netgear AP built into my router if that helps.
